Free Practice Exam Sources For The PMP Certification

There are several free practice questions scattered all over the internet for PMP aspirants to take advantage of. This compilation has more than 1,500 questions. You will be ready to perform above target in all domains if you are able to go through all the questions and their solutions.

1. 200 questions from Oliver Lehmann.

This is acclaimed to be one of the toughest PMP questions around. If you are able to score 70% on this test, you should be proud of yourself. You can go through the solutions to understand the questions you got wrong and to better understand how to approach the questions in the future. The test can be found in the following link:

2. Simplilearn 200 practice test

This test requires you to register to take it free of charge. It is timed to be completed in 240 minutes. You can attempt it multiple times.

3. PMP Practice Exam

The website has four tests made up of 50 questions each. Answers to the questions are shown as you go so that you can learn why you got any question wrong and bridge the gaps immediately.

4. Timed 120 questions from Project Management Prepcast.

This test is timed and to be completed in 2 hours and 24 minutes.

• You have 1.2 minutes per question.
• Select the best answer to each question
• Mark questions for review
• You can use “hint” if you are stuck
• Unanswered questions count as incorrect so you are encouraged to attempt all questions.
• Click the red button at the bottom of the page to end the exam and see your result.   

5. Prepare PM

This test contains 75 questions. You will be able to see your answers (with explanations) as soon as you answer each question. You also have an additional option to sign up for a 10-day free trial for access to additional 1200 practice questions.

6. Cert Champ free 200 questions

This contains 200 questions with answers and explanations of the answers. The good thing about this is that the answers and explanations are presented after each question.

You have the option to purchase an exam simulator with additional 1,600 questions with answers and explanations.

7. PMP Exam question Bank

This is an extra because it is based on the 5th edition of the PMBoK Guide. It will be relevant to some extent if you think the challenge is worth it. It contains 480 questions and answers.

8. Dan Ryan – PM Exam Coach

This has 200 questions. You will need to register before you can access the questions. Dan also provide answers that can be downloaded as a PDF document.

*IMPORTANT – once you start this exam you must go all the way through, you CANNOT save and come back later and if you hit the “BACK” button during your exam you lose all progress.

Please endeavor to take the pain to go through answers to the questions, establish why you are right and why you are wrong for the questions you got wrong. Bring the knowledge gap where necessary. Overall, if you are able to score 70-80% consistently on these tests, you are ready to sit for the exam.
